Research and planning

The Research and Planning Office serves under the President’s Office and supports the President and College in all research and planning areas. The Dean of Research and Planning, Dr. Leonor Perez, seeks to fulfill the President’s commitment to include all campus constituencies and the community in planning the college’s future and to utilize research findings as a basis for the college’s data and evidence-driven planning model. This Office oversees planning mechanisms such as strategic, educational, technology, and facilities planning structures and processes and ensures compliance with education code and accreditation standards such as developing the college’s vision, mission, values, priorities, goals and program review and viability structures. It also contributes significantly to the evaluation and planning of off-site ventures such as the South Gate Educational Center. In support of the College’s efforts, the Research and Planning Office seeks to produce accurate, timely and intelligible information to enhance delivery of quality education to the community. The Office also ensures on-going data reporting requirements as mandated by governmental agencies and provides the college with support in producing reports, completing special projects, and information/data requests.
